Dental photography serves as an effective tool for communication with colleagues and as an emotional means of marketing to patients and clients regarding our clinical services and laboratory products.
This half-day hands-on course aims at the clinician or technician who would like to elevate their skills with a digital single reflex lens (DSLR) camera, and no experience is necessary. The course covers:
- Basics of lighting
- Camera gear
- Lenses
- Composition
- Detailed explanations of cost-effective ways to acquire all the essential tools and equipment
Theory and hands-on coursework will allow even the novice photographer to produce exceptional intraoral shade analysis and professional level benchtop and portrait photographs within a few hours of instruction.
Participants will learn easy methods for marketing their high-end results for their dental practice to potential patients or, in the case of their dental laboratory, to potential clients.
Course Objectives
- List the tactics and techniques used with dental photography to communicate with dentists, patients, and potential clients.
- Analyse the final results of various photographs made with professional or consumer-level equipment.
- Improve current skills through demonstrated dental photography exercises.
- Create a portfolio of case studies to share with colleagues that showcases your ability to document with dental photography.
